Тhe concept of cultural-historical memory in interdisciplinary discourse

Abstract

The article analyzes cultural and historical memory in the context of interdisciplinary discourse. Methodological approaches such as Memory studies, cultural memory studies, and Media memory are considered. Special attention is paid to the ontological understanding of memory by philosophers of different historical eras. The concept of the habitus of cultural and historical memory was introduced, which made it possible to identify the social, historical, and political narratives of memory. The article evaluates the crisis of methodological approaches in memory research caused by modern conditions of digitalization of historical sources and cultural monuments. As a result, a scientific discourse has emerged with an emphasis on the study of medialized memories. In addi tion, in the context of cultural and historical memory, the article actualizes the issues of memory policy, as well as historical policy.
