Inversion and symbolic exchange of Yin and Yang value structures in the pre-Qin period
Abstract
The article examines the philosophical concept of Yin and Yang as a fundamental foundation of ancient Chinese cosmology and worldview. The author explores the dynamic interaction of these two principles, analyzing pre Qin texts and emphasizing the symbolic and axiological significance of Yin and Yang within the system of traditional Chinese values, as well as their role in establishing harmony and sustainable balance. The research relies on hermeneutic, semiotic, and axiological methods, which enable the identification of the universality and adaptability of this concept in the context of contemporary cultural and social challenges. The interconnection between Yin and Yang and the Five Elements Theory (Wu Xing) highlights their integrity as a philosophical system capable of serving as a framework for analyzing various aspects of human activity and fostering harmonious societal development.
