TRANSPORT SYSTEM OF THE ALTAI REGION: DEVELOPMENT POTENTIAL IN THE CONTEXT OF TRANSFORMATION OF SOCIO-ECONOMIC PROCESSES
УДК 332.142:656
Abstract
The article analyzes the potential for the development of the transport system of the Altai Territory, the legal and economic conditions for the formation of new approaches and proposals for assessing the possibilities for the development of the transport system on the scale of a separate territory. Based on a systematic approach to research, groups of quantitative and qualitative parameters characterizing the transport system of the Altai Territory, its problems and development opportunities were analyzed. The authors considered the transport system as a set of all types of transport, vehicles, transport communications and companies ensuring the uninterrupted process of their functioning. The development potential of the transport system of the Altai Territory is proposed to be considered from the perspective of its determining factors: the current state, socio-economic characteristics, geographical location in the context of interregional and international interaction, characteristics of transport infrastructure, unused resources and development opportunities, level of digitalization. The positive assessment of the potential of the transport system of the Altai Territory obtained as a result of the study does not exclude the need to solve the current issues that impede its development.
