МОДЕЛИ И МЕТОДЫ ИХ ПРИМЕНЕНИЯ В АРХЕОЛОГИИ
Аннотация
В статье рассматриваются примеры использования в археологическом исследовании моделей описания и анализа артефактов, найденных при археологических работах. Это структурированное описание, разрабатываемое в рамках школы Ю.Л. Щаповой, и два вида распределений — нормальное и гиперболическое. Приведены примеры использования нормального и гиперболического распределений к различным материалам. По мнению автора, применение структурированной системы описания и простых числовых моделей, описывающих распределение артефактов в слоях памятника, позволяет исследователям включать результаты конкретных разработок в более широкий исторический контекст и видеть тенденции, незаметные при использовании только эмпирических методов. При этом одинаково важны как случаи, когда исследуемый материал вписывается в модель, так и случаи, когда он не вписывается, что указывает на влияние дополнительных факторов, изменяющих картину. Удобным инструментом исследования представляется нам также объединение четырех подсистем описания вещи в две триады: «морфология, материал и функция», характеризующая жизнеобеспечивающую сферу, и «технология, материал и морфология», относящаяся к производственной сфере. Это может помочь исследователям при выборе признаков для решения стоящих перед ними задач.
