The article presents the results of the study of the fauna of the rove beetles of the genus Philonthus in the part of the territory of the south of Western Siberia that includes mountainous and adjacent areas in the east of the Altai Krai and the Altai Republic. A list of 38 species with the points where material was collected is represented. A comparative analysis of the fauna of Philonthus of the research area and adjacent regions was performed using the Sørensen-Dice coefficient. We obtained the greatest degree of similarity with the fauna of Kuznetsk Alatau (Ics = 0.29), what can be explained by the similarity of natural conditions. In general, the relative proximity of the faunas of the compared places was noted, which is determined by species ecology, most of which are associated with azonal dispersed microhabitats.
