ANALYSIS OF GASTRONOMIC TOURISM IN THE BORDER REGIONS OF KAZAKHSTAN AND RUSSIA
Abstract
The article is devoted to the actual topic of cross-border cooperation inthe field of tourism between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan.In particular, the development of gastronomic tourism in the border regions of twocountries – Altai Territory and East Kazakhstan region has been analyzed. A specialrole in the development of ethnic gastronomic tourism in the borderlands is assignedto the unique natural, ethnic, cultural and historical resources of Russia and Kazakhstan in the development of this type of tourism.Ethnic gastronomic tourism in the border area of the Altai Territory and the EastKazakhstan region is considered in conjunction with the importance of preserving thecultural heritage of Altai, developing infrastructure and expanding tourist relationsbetween the two countries.The analysis of the main elements of ethnic gastronomic tourism attracting tourists is given, the most popular local traditional dishes are shown and the ethnic gastronomic festivals of the Altai Territory and the East Kazakhstan region are described.
