ABOUT THE BASIS OF THE ATTRIBUTION OF CERAMIC COMPLEXES OF THE SANNIKOVSKAYA BULOCHKA SETTLEMENT’S TYPE
Abstract
Based on the analysis of new materials, the article presents the characteristics of the Sannikovskaya Bulochka settlement. One dwelling was excavated at the settlement. The finds are basically represented by ceramics. The analysis of the ceramic complex of this settlement allowed raising a question about identifying some criteria for distinguishing the ceramic complexes of the Fominsk and Odintsovo cultures. The vessels of the Sannikovskaya Bulochka settlement have some properties of ceramics from the late Fominsk sites of the Tom River basin and the Novosibirsk Ob region. However, the ceramics of that settlement combine features of the Odintsovo culture also. Most likely, this site should be attributed to the period that in the Upper Ob corresponds to the Soshnikovo stage of the Odintsovo culture (the second half of the 4th century — the first half of the 5th century). The ceramics of the Soshnikovo stage’s sites may reflect a local transformation of the household complex of the Fominsk cultural tradition, what happened in the conditions of active interaction with new groups of the population.
