Аннотация

В статье, написанной к 75-летию известного петербургского археолога, старшего научного сотрудника ИИМК РАН, кандидата исторических наук, доцента Николая Анатольевича Боковенко, излагается краткая научная биография одного из ведущих исследователей ленинградской/санкт-петербургской школы археологии Сибири, ученика и последователя основателя школы — выдающегося советского археолога, профессора, доктора исторических наук Михаила Петровича Грязнова.

В статье упоминаются основные события, связанные со становлением ученого, формированием его научных взглядов и навыков полевых исследований. Оценивается вклад Н. А. Боковенко в изучение и сохранение древнего прошлого региона, а также в формирование современных концепций сложения археологических культур и происхождения древних социумов эпохи бронзы и раннего железного века в Южной Сибири и Центральной Азии. Статья сопровождается избранной библиографией ученого.
