The peculiarities of ritual in the ethnoregional culture of the Kazakhs (using the example of the Kosh-Agachsky district of the Altai Republic)

Abstract

The article attempts to summarize the features of rituals in the ethno-regional culture of the Kosh-Agach District of the Altai Republic. Various narratives of Kazakh culture are considered: about the dowry of the bride, about the portable dwelling of Kazakh nomads who use elements of ornaments and patterns for its external and internal design, and others. These elements are considered as decor and at the same time as symbolic patterns that are important for protecting against the evil eye and spoilage. As shown in the article, the Kazakhs of the Kosh-Agach district, being Muslims, still retain pagan beliefs that take place in various rituals and traditions. Kazakh ornaments contain patterns that have a semantic meaning that goes back centuries. The author of the article focuses on the fact that all household items, utensils and clothes are decorated with national ornaments, and this centuries-old tradition is passed down from generation to generation in the process of everyday use.
