Correlation of legal values and anti-values
Abstract
The article discusses legal values and anti-values. Special attention is paid to the role of legal values and anti-values in the development of public relations and the legal system as a whole. The axiological approach to the study of legal reality allows us to present legal values and anti-values as phenomena: 1) complementary in meaning; 2) showing the dynamics of legal reality, the consolidation of new values in it or the preservation of traditional ones; 3) constituting necessary elements of any legal system at any historical time; 4) influencing the formation of certain legal norms and rules; 5) determining the nature of relations with various legal structures. Identifying the features of legal values and anti-values allows us to consider them as cultural universals. This means that these phenomena are common to all cultures. In addition, they determine the course of socio-cultural development of societies and states.
