Sociocultural Interaction in the Era of Change
Abstract
In modern society with its consumerism, we often observe a triumph of the "transient" over the spiritual, the Eternal. And yet, interaction with art, reflecting the greatest achievements of the past, is an essential part of our existence. Only a person "rooted" in culture is capable of building their life on a solid foundation. Those people have developed free, critical thinking and are difficult to manipulate. Moreover, a cultured person is never alone. For them, even the "nothingness", the "emptiness" marked by the absence of a beloved person or a work of art, is filled with memories of productive interactions with them. Regardless of the amount of damage and / or destruction that has been inflicted on their physical body. Having experienced the joy of communicating with art, those people are eager to pass on their socio-cultural experience to new generations so that all the knowledge they have acquired shall not be for gotten but, on the contrary, would be continuously revived and expanded.
