Abstract

A checklist of Chukchi species is compiled. The present research gives new records, including 26 species found for the first time in Chukotka, three species recorded for the first time in the Palaeartic Region (Argyra albiventris Loew, 1864, Hydrophorus pilitarsis Malloch, 1919, Rhaphium nigrum (Van Duzee, 1923)) in addition to one species new for Russia (Dolichopus pseudomigrans Ringdahl, 1928). In total, 8 genera and 36 species are listed that apparently makes up less than 50% of actual Dolichopodidae fauna of the Okrug. Now 17 Chukchi dolichopodids (47%) are known in the Nearctic Region.
