Aim and Scope

The journal is designed to contribute to the development of the information base of science and higher education in Russia, to strengthen the image of Altai State University in the scientific and educational community and to attract talented Russian and foreign scientists to cooperate with it. The aim of the journal is to bring new ideas and results of research carried out in the field of economic and geographical sciences in the sphere of tourism, service, hospitality in the teams of universities and scientific institutions to the largest number of scientists, including specialists from related fields; integration of Russian scientists into the international scientific community.

The founder of the journal is the Department of Recreational Geography, Tourism and Regional Marketing of Altai State University. It is published since 2012 as a collection of articles, and since 2013 as a scientific journal “Science and tourism: strategies of interaction”. Since 2024 the journal is called “Siberian Journal of Tourism and Economic”.

The journal is approved by the Scientific and Technical Council of Altai State University and registered by the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Communications (Roskomnadzor). Certificate number:

Review process

Double-blind peer-review

Publication frequency: 4 issues per year. Articles are accepted in Russian and English. All papers submitted to the editorial board are subject to mandatory review. Color illustrations are published. Each article is assigned a DOI index. The journal is published in printed and electronic form.

Publication in the journal is absolutely free of charge.
