CREATIVE TECHNIQUES AND PRINCIPLES OF THE SEYMA-TURBINO DESIGN AS A WAY OF TRANSMITTING INFORMATION
Abstract
The article presents the results of a comparative analysis of creative techniques and principles of decorative design of the Seyma-Turbino bronze products. The first phase of the development of CT design is characterized by the use of the principle of visual hierarchy and the general rule of form construction — right-sided asymmetry. The second phase of development is associated with the creative implementation of the principle of repetition/doubling of elements and compositions, as well as the transition to the creation of symmetrical forms of bronze castings. In the decorative design of bronze products, figural compositions and combinations of geometric ornamental elements were semantically interrelated due to compositional solutions and quantitative correspondences. Both served to parallel encoding relevant information related to behavioral strategies and universal symbolism. In the historical and cultural context, it is possible to assume the development of the principles of ST design, as well as their translation along with technological knowledge and techniques.
