THE RESEARCH CONDUCTED BY T.N. TROITSKAYA OF THE ELOVSKAYA CULTURE SITES IN THE TERRITORY OF THE NOVOSIBIRSK PRIOBIE
Abstract
The cultural and historical processes that took place in the south of Western Siberia in the post-Andronovo period are key to understanding the events that took place in the Late Bronze Age. The mechanisms of formation, evolution and subsequent transformation of the Android cultures are debatable. The key role in the processes was played by the territory of the Novosibirsk Ob region. At the same time, Andronoid sites here have not been sufficiently studied. The article is devoted to the contribution of Tatyana Nikolaevna Troitskaya, who led the Novosibirsk archaeological expedition for many years, to the process of studying the materials of the Yelovskaya culture. A description of field studies of archaeological sites is provided, along with the analysis of the ideas of T.N. Troitskaya, expressed at different times on the Yelovskaya problem. The evolution of the researcher’s ideas associated with the accumulation of the source fund, as well as the scientific discussions that took place, is shown. The result was the identification of four stages in the study of T.N. Troitskaya Andronoid sites of the Novosibirsk Ob region.
