AYDASHINSKAYA CAVE: FORGOTTEN RESEARCH AND UNKNOWN FINDS
Abstract
Aydashinskaya Cave is one of the most famous sites of the Chulym Basin. The article introduces for the first time into scientific circulation the circumstances and results of the study of this site in the middle of the 20th century. Information is provided on the works on the site under the directionof P. E. Chernyavsky, E. M. Zasetsky, G. A. Avramenko. The plan of the cave and its detailed description are published. A detailed description of two finds is given. This is a bronze object of an unknown purpose with a plant ornament. It has no analogues in the region of the study. This object is somewhat similar to bronze items of the Dian state. A fragment of a bronze mirror of the Boju type with an image of a feline predator belongs to the circle of Eastern Han products. Such mirrors are widely distributed in archaeological sites of Northern Asia in the first centuries of our era. Previously, there was no information about the findings of Chinese mirrors in the Aydashinskaya Cave. A similar mirror is known as part of the Ishim collection. We can talk about the cultural and chronological proximity of these sites.
