TO THE ISSUE OF THE BOISMANSKAYA CULTURE CERAMICS IN THE COLLECTIONS OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES OF THE FAR EASTERN SOUTH (the lower Amur river region)
Abstract
The article presents the results of studying “Boisman cultural chronological type” of ceramics from the Lower Amur river region archaeological sites’ collections: Suchu Island, near the Voznesenskoe, Innokentyevka, Malyshevo-2 villages (dwelling 2). The methodological base of the research is the works of A.A. Bobrinskii, I.G. Glyshkova, I.S. Zhushchikhovskaya. The visual examination of the ceramics was made with the help of binocular microscope. The comparative analysis of the technological, constructive, morphological and ornamental characteristics revealed the features of “hybridization”: the additive of gruss and chamotte in the composition of forming masses; spiral and annular mold; two ways of designing the edge of vessel’s mouth; ground and ground-capacitive starting; smoothing, polishing, troweling, coating, engobe, coloration during the surface working; oxidative regime of burning with the use of method of smoke; closed form vessels of different types (among them spheroidal-spherical); variation of vessels’ range size. The article raises the question of different ways of migrations and also of “transit” area existing on nearby territories of the Far Eastern South (Lower Amur river region, Primorye).
