Abstract
This article deals with the fate of the Chitan elite in the post-state period. This fate is an integral part of the collapse and deformation of the state. For all the time of a decisive confrontation between the Chitans and the Jurchen've outlined a few mechanisms to deal with elite of the Liao. Jurchen immediately began basic dismantling of the Chitan elite. First of all, of course, there was an elementary physical destruction of it during military operations. In the course of military operations, part of the elite was forced out of the Empire. Parallel to the military confrontation was information attack with two goals — the education of hatred against the Chitans in the environment of the Jurchen and discredit Empire Liao and its dynasty before geopolitical neighbors and to the people Liao. This information offensive was very carefully thought out and went in several directions. A special place in the "cold war" between Jurchen and the Chitans was occupied by activities to discredit both individual Chitan emperors and the figure of the Emperor as a whole.
Played a special role in the destruction of the Chitan elite and general cultural restructuring. Jurchen actually took control of all cultural flows. That's when the Jurchen almost completely disappeared Chitan abundant literature.
