Author of over 200 scholarly works, including 9 monographs (5 of them co-authored); compiler of 19 collections of articles; Editor-in-Chief of academic journals: "Written Monuments of the Orient" (Pismennye pamiatniki Vostoka), "Countries and Peoples of the East" (Strany i narody Vostoka), "Written Monuments of the Orient" (English-language version); Deputy Chairman of the Editorial Board of the academic book series "Monuments of the Written Literature of the East" (Pamiatniki pismennosti Vostoka); member of editorial boards of Russian and foreign academic publications, including "Turfan Studies" (Tulufan yanjiu, PRC), "Studies of Written Manuscripts of Small Nationalities" (Minzu yanjiu, PRC), Studia Orientalia Slovaca (Comenius University in Bratislava), and others.

Awards and Prizes:
2013 — S. F. Oldenburg Prize of the Government of St. Petersburg and the St. Petersburg Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences for outstanding results in the study of the written heritage of China and Central Asia.
2016 — Title of "Yangtze River Scholar" (讲座长江学者, the highest academic title) of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China for achievements in the study of ancient and medieval Chinese history.
2017 — "Friendship" Medal (Mongolia).
2018 — Medal of the Order "For Merit to the Republic of Tatarstan".
