Abstract
Invasive species of the ground beetle Carabus cumanus Fischer von Waldheim, 1823 was found in the city of Kyzylorda in southern Kazakhstan. For the Kyzylorda oblast of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the south of the country as a whole, C. cumanus is indicated for the first time. The species invasion originated from the city of Almaty (south-eastern Kazakhstan), from where it has been known since 1998.
