STUDY OF THE INFLUENCE OF THE HYDROGEN CHLORIDE AMOUNT ON DELIGNIFICATION OF NONCONVENTIONAL CELLULOSE CONTAINING MATERIAL IN ETHYLENE GLYCOL UNDER ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE
Abstract
The influence of the delignification modes of Miscanthus sinensis and cereal husks in ethylene glycol on the pulp quality has been investigated. It was found that the absence of a catalyst in the cooking liquor does not lead to delignification. The introduction of a catalyst - hydrogen chloride accelerates delignification while pentosan hydrolysis proceeds. Ethylene glycol regeneration is carried out by vacuum distillation of the cooking liquor.
