PAPER WEB PRESSING WITH UNGROUND FIBERS
Abstract
For justifying process condition of paper making with unground fibers the mechanism of increasing interfiber contact area owing to intensive pressing of a layer of swollen fibers was considered. The changes in the structure of surface fibrous layers were analyzed theoretically. It was shown that the increase in the area of interfiber interaction was due to changes in laying of wall microelements in interfiber contact.
