Materials of the middle late bronze age in the right-bank Barnaul Priob

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of materials from the Koshkargaikha-1 settlement located on the right bank of the Barnaul Ob region. The history of the discovery of the monument is given, the landscape environment of the archaeological heritage object is analyzed, and the processes of ethno-cultural interaction that took place on the territory of the studied region in the Bronze Age are reconstructed based on a systematic analysis of the ceramic collection. It is concluded that two levels of settlement habitation have been identified, the first one is associated with the advancement of the population of the Andronovo culture, the second with the Late Bronze Age. The second horizon is characterized by two cultural components: the most massive one is associated with the autochthonous population of the Irmen culture, and the migrants are represented by the traditions of the Sargarin-Alekseev culture of the Late Bronze Age of the steppe Altai. The settlement of Koshkaragaikha 1 is the most eastern monument of the advance of the bearers of the steppe cultures into the forest zone of the Upper Ob. It has been established that the closest analogies are demonstrated by the materials of the settlement Firsovo 18, located in the "Firsovsky archaeological microdistrict". The general chronology of the Koshkargaikha-1 settlement is considered within the second millennium BC, which is not contradicted by the finds of bronze knives.
