International scientific-practical conference “Central Asia on the Silk Road: the dialogue of cultures and religions from ancient times to the present”

Abstract
The article is devoted to the results of the international scientific-practical conference "Central Asia on the Great Silk road: dialogue of cultures and confessions from antiquity to modernity". The conference was organized by the State museum of the Center for rapprochement of cultures of the II category of UNESCO under the guidance of doctor of historical sciences, professor, academician of the Academy of sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan K. M. Baypakov. The purpose of the conference was to attract leading scientists of the world engaged in the study of ethnic and religious processes in the Central Asian region. In total, the conference was attended by more than 60 people from various research centers of Kazakhstan, Russia, Mongolia, USA, France, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kirgizia, Ukraine, Italy, Belgium. The international forum was held within the framework of three sections: "Dialogue of cultures and confessions on the great Silk road", "Central Asia: problems and priorities of social modernization", "Intercultural communications and petroglyphs of Central Asia: prospects of nomination of visual monuments in the UNESCO world heritage list".
As part of the conference, a field seminar was held at the famous state historical, cultural and natural reserve-museum "Tanbaly" (Tamgaly). The conference included the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Altai state university (Barnaul, Russia) and the State museum of the Center for rapprochement of cultures of the II category of UNESCO (Almaty, Kazakhstan). Reports of the conference participants will be published in the form of collections of its materials.
