Abstract
The dried herb of the Lophanthus tibeticus, sem. Lamiaceae. The raw materials of the lophant grown in the Penza region were studied. The purpose of this work is to determine the amount of phenylpropanoids in the herb of the lophant by spectrophotometry.
The quantitative determination of the amount of phenylpropanoids in the herb of the lophant by differential spectrophotometry was carried out. The presence of phenylpropanoids was confirmed by differential spectrophotometry in extracts from the herb lophant, the analytical maxima of the compounds studied were determined 290 and 330 nm. The optimal conditions for the extraction of phenylpropanoids from the raw materials of this plant are justified (extractant – ethyl alcohol 40%; the ratio of "raw material – extractant" is 1 : 200; extraction time is 90 minutes; the degree of grinding of raw materials is 1.0 mm). It was determined that the average error in determining the content of phenylpropanoids in the herb of the lophant with a confidence probability of 95% is ±1.39%. It was revealed that the content of phenylpropanoids in the herb of the lophant is 4.79%.
