The main ideas of the magazine

The publication of the journal is due to qualitative changes in modern philology. In the number of its basic objects, along with the text and natural language, at the end of the XX - beginning of the XXI century a man began to enter (more precisely: Homo Loquens). Thus, the face of philological sciences and disciplines, philology as a whole, the nature of its relations with other sciences that study different facets of a person, is changing. The commonwealth of Literary Studies and Linguistics, Folklore Studies and Journalism receives a distinct common core, in the creation of which three significant human-oriented areas of knowledge play an essential role: humanitarian semiotics, philological hermeneutics, text theory. It was these three disciplines that turned out to be significant in the implementation of the anthropocentric turn in philology.

The publication of the journal in Altai was made possible thanks to the importance of the figure of the Person Speaking in the research of linguists, literary critics, folklorists and journalists in universities in the region. This refers to works related to the philological study of the work of V.M. Shukshin and the complex consideration of Altai folklore, the study of mythopoetics and semiotics of Russian literature, philological study of communication and rhetoric of communication, understanding and description of Russian, Altai and Western European languages in line with the ideas of anthropocentrism and development of philological teaching about regional ethnos.

The editorial team attaches great importance to communication with readers. In 2006-2012 different forms of communication were used, including a survey of readers, an Internet conference and a scientific seminar with the publication of materials, round tables, publications of thematic collections.
